Scottsdale is a desert city in Arizona, just east of Phoenix, the state capital. TPC Scottsdale is one of the city’s most well-known golf courses. Trails wind through McDowell Sonoran Preserve, a desert landscape with cliffs, rock formations, and cacti, farther north. Taliesin West, the longtime home and workshop of architect Frank Lloyd Wright, is nearby. Old Town Scottsdale in downtown Scottsdale has homes from the 1920s, an array of fine dining, and a lively nightlife.
